This Caprese Salad made with mini mozzarella (or bocconcini), grape tomatoes and fresh basil are a great addition to your party menu. To make ahead, simply thread all your ingredients together and keep the skewers in the fridge. When ready to serve, drizzle with olive oil and season with salt and pepper.

Ingredients for Caprese Salad:
mini mozzarella (or bocconcini)
cherry or grape tomatoes
fresh basil
extra virgin olive oil for drizzling
sea salt + pepper, to taste
Ingredients for Mozzarella + Prosciutto Appetizer:
mini mozzarella (or bocconcini)
prosciutto, thinly sliced
fresh basil
sea salt + pepper
Instructions
For the Caprese Salad:
Thread 1 mini mozzarella ball on a skewer, follow with a piece of basil leaf and lastly the cherry or grape tomato. Repeat with remaining ingredients and store the skewers in the fridge. When ready to serve, drizzle extra virgin olive oil onto the skewers and season with salt and pepper to taste.
For the Mozzarella + Prosciutto Appetizer:
Cut the prosciutto slices length wise. Roll up one piece of prosciutto, thread it onto a skewer and follow with a piece of basil leaf and a piece of mozzarella cheese. Repeat with remaining ingredients and store the skewers in the fridge. Season the cheese lightly with sea salt and pepper before serving.
